About The African Safari And Travel Advisors

My wife, daughter and I are the African safari and travel advisors. We live in Cape Town, South Africa. And really love it here. My wife is a local South African and our daughter, Maya, was born here. I am originally from New Jersey in the USA.

I grew up watching National Geographic and The Wild Kingdom. But I never thought that one day I would live my childhood dream - spending lots of time every year on African safaris! God has truly been good to me.

I got my bachelor's degree in Social Anthropology from Harvard, and it has turned out to be useful now that I travel so much in Africa. But I never became a social anthropologist. I became a lawyer. The best thing about law school is that I met my wife there! Bernadette & I were in the same class at Columbia University Law School. Bernadette graduated from Wellesley & studied political science & sociology there.

We both practiced law in Washington, DC for a number of years. In 1993, we moved to Johannesburg, South Africa. Maya - our daughter, the biggest blessing in our lives and a true wildlife lover - was born here in South Africa in 1994.

We have hosted African safari and travel experiences for many of America's top PBS TV stations, National Public Radio stations, churches, large groups, small groups, families, and individuals.
